One of Raymondville's biggest events of the year is coming.

The annual Texas Independence Chuckwagon Dinner will be held on Sunday, March 14, on the grounds of the Willacy County Historical Museum, 427 S. 7th St.

Tickets are $6 and include a Barbecue plate with chicken, sausage and all the trimmings prepared by volunteer cooking teams. There will be Museum tours from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Desserts and soft drinks served by members of the Willacy County Art League. Meals will be served from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Maybe even some "Pan de Campo", if we are lucky.

There will be live music, great food and lots of fun, including a Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament.

Tickets may be puchased at the Raymondville Chamber of Commerce, at the Valley Telephone Co-op and at the Boot Company.
