LYFORD - Ermelinda C. Rodriguez, 82, of Lyford, entered into rest Friday, March 12, 2010 in Valley Baptist Medical Center.

She was born on December 31, 1927 in San Benito, daughter of the late Pedro Cano and Maria Gaona.

She was a housewife and after her two daughters married, she went to work at Levi Strauss until she retired in 1986.

Surviving are her husband, Juan Rodriguez of Lyford, daughters, Juanita R. Gonzales and Maria Dahlia Ambriz of Lyford; sister, Concepcion Chavez of Lyford, nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren.

Rosary was recited on Monday at 7 p.m. at Duddlesten Funeral Home Chapel, Raymondville. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lyford.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Benito Gonzales, Jr., Juan F. Gonzales, Rodney Gonzales, Durel Gonzales, Daryl DeJay Gonzales and Antonio Ambriz, Jr.

Interment to follow in the Lyford Guadalupe Cemetery under the direction of Duddlesten Funeral Home (956) 689-2151.
