The Willacy County Courthouse will be closed all day on Wednesday, March 31 in observance of the birthday of Caesar Chavez,the California farm workers leader.

The courthouse will reopen on Thursday, April 1 and all offices will be open to the public as usual.

However, on Friday, April 2 the court house will again be closed,this time in observance of Good Friday, the day Jesus Christ was crucified.

Easter Sunday is April 4 and the county courthouse will reopen on Monday, April 5.
