In order to address the unfinished business left by the county election on March 2, all candidates who are in runoff elections will see the verdict of voters on April 13. On Monday, April 5 early voting begins and will continue until April 9, when it will conclude on Friday.

Running for County Judge are Aurelio "Keter" Guerra of Sebastian and John F. Gonzales, Jr., of Lasara. Guerra is the appointed judge and Gonzales is a banking executive.

The runoff for Pct. 4 County Commissioners is between Dora Perez and Oscar Garcia, Jr.

In the Justice of the Peace, Pct. 1, Yesenia Rosas will run against Apolinar "Polo" Gracida, Jr.,

On March 2, the primary election day, only 31.59% of Willacy County's registered voters took the time to vote. Turnouts are usually much lower for runoffs, so the candidates who do the best job of getting their supporters out to vote, are the ones who will win office.
