Maria Olvera, 88, of Raymondville, entered into rest Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Retama Manor Nursing Home.

She was born on January 9, 1922 in Mexico, daughter of the late Jose and Porfiria (Medina) Martinez.

She is survived by two sons, Miguel Olvera of Lyford, and Gerardo Olvera of Edcouch; two daughters, Dolores Rubio of Raymondville and Aquilina Mendoza of Edcouch.

A rosary was recited 7 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday, April 7 and 8 at Duddlesten Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Thursday, April 8, 2010 at 11 a m. Interment will follow at the Raymondville Memorial Cemetery, Raymondville with Duddlesten Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements, (956) 689- 2151.
