Cynthia Correa Merritt of Raymondville is proud to announce the engagement of her son, Alec Jacob Merritt of College Station to Allison Taylor Tewell, also of College Station. Jake is the grandson of Olga Correa and the late Oscar Correa of Raymondville and the son of Dane Merritt of Dallas. Allison is the daughter of Nancy Tewell of San Benito and the late Dr. Howard “Skip” Tewell and the granddaughter of Constance Beltrand of Bryan and the late Dr. and Mrs. Howard Tewell, II.

Jake is employed by Legacy Offshore as a commercial driver and Allie is attending Texas A&M School of Veterinary Medicine and will graduate on May 13, 2010.

An outdoor wedding is planned for May 8, 2010 at Lilian Farms outside of Brenham near College Station. After a honeymoon in Jamaica, the couple plans to reside in Harlingen.
