The annual National Day of Prayer observance will be held on Thursday, May 6, at 12 noon on the Eastside of the County Courthouse. The public is invited to join us in a brief time of prayer for our communities and schools, our state, and our Nation. This year’s event will be the 59th annual National Day of Prayer and the theme for 2010 will be, “For Such a Time as This,” and the scripture for this year’s event comes from the book of Nahum, chapter 1, verse 7 which says, “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble. And he knows those who trust in Him.” There has probably never been a greater time or a greater need to pray for our Nation and its leaders.
