Seeds From the Sower
"Let's be good citizens," said a lady, "and pay our taxes with a smile,"
"I'd like to," answered a girl, "but they want money."
One day our Lord was asked, "Is it right to pay taxes to Caesar?" Taking a coin, He asked, "Whose picture is this?"
"Caesar's," they answered. "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's," He replied, "and to God what is God's."
A Christian has a dual citizenship. He's a citizen of a country on earth. To that country he owes his taxes.
He's also a citizen of heaven. To the Lord he owes his tithes and offerings.
Let's not fail in our duty to God or man.
