Ted Joseph Whitworth earned his PhD in Experimental Pathology from the University of Texas Medical Branch Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences at the 2010 Commencement on May 1, 2010 in Galveston, Texas. He earned the degree in August 2009 and returned to Galveston to attend graduation ceremonies. For the past seven months Dr. Whitworth has been working on his post doctorate at the University of Maryland, Johns Hopkins Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. He also holds a bachelors degree from the University of Texas at Brownsville and a masters degree in biology from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Ted is the son of the late Edelmira "Edie" Whitworth and Paul E. Whitworth. Also pictured, during the "Hooding Ceremony" is Dr. David Walker, chairman of the Pathology Department at UTMB.
