CONGRESSMAN SOLOMON ORTIZ brought news of a Business & Cooperative Programs loan for the Willacy Co-op. The $3.4 million loan will be used by Willacy Co-op to purchase the assets of the Sebastian Cotton Gin, Cotton Warehouse and Grain Elevator. The loan will enable Willacy Coop to retain 45 jobs and comes from the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture.
