KATRINA ZAMORANO commanded the pitcher’s circle during the Lady Bulldogs victory over Hondo in the area round of the playoffs held in Calallen this past week. Lyford swept Hondo in two straight games winning 6-1 on Friday and 9-1 on Saturday. The Lady Bulldogs now face Robstown in the Regional Quarterfinals. Game One is at 7 p.m. at Robstown on Friday. Game Two will be in Lyford at 5 p.m. on Saturday. If necessary, a third game will begin thirty minutes after the conclusion of Game Two. (See more on Page 7.)
