248 Seniors to graduate from area high schools this week and next
LYFORD HIGH SCHOOL 2010 TOP TEN As these ten members of the 2010 Lyford CISD graduating class prepare to end their years of public education, it is fitting and proper that they be recognized for their accomplishments. This group of seniors has earned the distinction of being named the Top Honor Graduates. They are the following (pictured in order of ranking): front row: Valedictorian Ajay Nicolas Lerma, Salutatorian Laura Jessmin Rios, Jacob Carranco, Agustin Angel Guerra, and Ashley De La Rosa; top row: Steven Rey Balboa, Antonio Johansen Ximenes, Jorge Lerma, Johnathon Waggoner, and Miranda Perez.
San Perlita High School will get things started with their 2010 Commencement Excercises on Friday evening, May 28.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. in the High School gym.
San Perlita Class Motto is “Our lives are before us...Our pasts are behind us... but our memories are forever with us.” Class colors are red and black and the class flower is the red and white orchid. The class song is, “If today was your last day”by Nickelback.

Samantha Rhodes is the San Perlita Valedictorian and Zeyra Rivas is the San Perlita Salutatorian. There are 16 seniors.
A day later, on Saturday, May 29, 2010 the Raymondville High School Senior Class will graduate. There are 111 graduates in this year's class. Graduation ceremonies will be held at Burnett Stadium begining at 8 p.m.
The Class flower is the tulip. Class colors are metallic blue and silver and the class song is "So close now," by Eli Young band.
Class motto is a long one:
“Here we are at the end of the year with so many things to face, one more laugh and one more tear and one more long embrace. Though we go our way, may only the miles keep us apart and when we experience lonesome days, our loves ones we shall keep in our hearts. The road ahead may be unsure, but taking these next steps is where our lives will begin.”

Valedictorian at Raymondville High School is Guadalupe Diaz, Salutatorian is Rocco Cantu.
And a week later on Friday, June 4, 2010 Lyford High School will close out commencement activities with graduation ceremonies beginning at 8 p.m. in Bulldog Stadium.
The class colors are green and gold. The Class flower is the yellow tulip and the class Song is “Laugh until we cried,” by Jason Aldean.
Lyford Senior Class motto is "If we cannot find the road to success, we will make one." Author unknown.
Lyford High School Valedictorian is Ajay Nicholas Lerma and Lyford Salutatorian is Laura Jessmin Rios.
There are 117 seniors in this year's Lyford graduation class, the biggest class of all time.
