WHERE DID IT GO? You are looking at the site of the old Whitewing Hotel. After many years of bickering with the owners about their plans to remodel the facility it was decided to condemn the dilapidated structure and tear it down. In less than three weeks the hotel was reduced to rubble and hauled away, leaving the owners a desirable piece of real estate on East Hidalgo Ave. If they decide to sell, however, the California corporation will have to reimburse the city the estimated $100,000 cost of demolishing the old building.
