Pitcher for #1 ranked team


ANDREW BERNAL of Kingwood, Texas, great grandson of Maria Rita Bernal of Lyford, is the pitcher for the Kingwood Rebels. They are ranked #1 in the 10U AA Texas South USSSA Baseball Region, with a 15-0 record. The team was recently promoted to the AAA Division, and the team is working its way up. The Kingwood Rebels have won three consecutive USSSA tournaments in Kingwood, Conroe and Dallas/McKinney. The Rebels will be playing in the Texas Mid-South Elite National Championship Series to be held July 11-17 in Humble, Texas. Their season record is 27-10-2. Andrew is the son of Rick and Lorena Bernal, and grandson of Ernest and Rafaela Bernal, all of Kingwood.
