BEULAH FAYE McGILL
Beulah Faye McGill, 97, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010, at Odyssey Hospice House in San Antonio, TX. She was born on December 13, 1912 in Waco, Texas.
Grandma, as she was so dearly called by her grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Mrs. McGill is survived by her husband, Louis L. McGill of San Antonio, 3 granddaughters, Patricia Fisher (Robert) of Alvin, Lynn Spence (Allan) of Raymondville and Sherry French (Lief) of San Antonio, one grandson, Paul Fugett (Frances) of San Antonio, and one son-in-law, Tommy Fugett of San Antonio.
She is also survived by 11 greatgrandchildren: Kelley McCrummen, Craig McFarland, Kimberly Hays(Chris), Jennifer Sampayo (Mauricio), Stephanie Williams (Farrell), Charles (Chas) Spence (Laura), Heather Handley, Hillary Handley Bailey (Justin), Holly Treat (Steve), Scott Fugett and Sydney Fugett.
She was especially blessed with 14 great-great-grandchildren: Allen Rosser, Kara Rosser, Helena Sampayo, Christopher Hays, Gisele Sampayo, Kayla Hays, Brock Williams, Reece Sampayo, Gunnar Williams, Callan Spence, Emerson Williams, Louisa Sampayo, Cecilia Spence and Cayden Lea Bailey. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Beulah and Alma Fay Martin, 2 brothers, Cecil Martin (Dorothy), Alvin Martin (Ora Mae),her 2 daughters, Betty Pennington Dreyer and Faye Rene Pennington Fugett and son in law, W. M. (Netus) Dreyer.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caring and devoted caretakers, Lani Bromm and Mary Rivera and to the exceptional and tender care she received at Odyssey Hospice House in San Antonio.
Visitation was held from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, 2010. The funeral services and interment immediately followed at 2 p.m. at Seaside Memorial Park and Funeral Home (Main Chapel) at 4357 Ocean Drive in Corpus Christi, TX with the Chaplain Don Bailey officiating. Pallbearers were Paul Andrews, Robert Fisher, Lief French, Paul Fugett, Ray Martin, Craig McFarland, Charles (Chas) Spence, Dr. Allan Spence and Tommy Weaver.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that those wishing to do so make donations to the church or charity of their choice.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville,TX.
