RAYMONDVILLE - Francisca Flores Cantu, 89, of Raymondville, entered into rest Saturday, June 12, 2010 in Retama Manor Nursing Home, Raymondville.

She was born on January 9, 1921 in Mindieta, near San Diego, TX, daughter of the late Eligio and Gabriela (Sanchez) Flores.

She is survived by one son, Saul (Elvia) Cantu of Raymondville; two daughters, Maria Elena (Samuel) Salinas and Ana Maria (Alfonso) de la Rosa, both of Lasara, one sister, Soila D. Flores of Pflugerville; three grandchildren, Margil “Butch” (Irma) Gonzalez, Jr., Melida Gonzalez and John Cody Cantu; three great-grandchildren.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m., Monday, June 14, at Duddlesten Funeral Home, Raymondville. Funeral mass was celebrated at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lasara, Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 11 a.m. with interment in the Lasara Cemetery, Lasara, TX.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Oscar Garcia, Joe Medrano, Roy Davila, Lupe Gonzalez, Justin Cavazos and Mark Cavazos.
