DALLAS/RAYMONDVILLE - Fidel T. Loya, Sr., 66, of Dallas, TX, entered into rest Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at his residence in Dallas.

He was born on November 30, 1943, son of the late Calistro and Julia (Torres) Loya.

He is survived by his wife, Maria San Juana Quiroz Loya of Dallas; four sons, Fidel Martin Loya of Houston, Fidel Loya, Jr., Robert Loya, and Jose Luis Loya all of Dallas; three daughters: Norma Jean Jimenez of Houston, Veronica Loya and Samantha Loya both of Dallas; three brothers: Noe T. Loya of Raymondville, Calistro T. Loya of Harlingen, Lupe T. Loya of Raymondville; one sister, Linda Guzman of Raymondville and eight grandchildren.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2010 at Duddlesten Funeral Home, Raymondville.

Funeral services were held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 10 a.m. with interment to following in the La Becerra Cemetery.

RAYMONDVILLE - Esmeralda Gonzalez, 95, of Raymondville, TX, entered into rest Wednesday, June 23, 2010 in Retama Manor Nursing Home.

She was born Thursday, October 29, 1914 in El Sauz Ranch, TX, daughter of the late Nestor and Maria Castillo Salazar.

She is survived by one son, Mario Gonzalez of Connecticut; four daughters, Alice Taylor of Washington, Elsie Garner of California, Yolanda Oneal of Maine, and Cindy Puente of Raymondville; 25 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

A rosary was recited on Wednesday, June 23 at Duddlesten Funeral Home, Raymondville. Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Raymondville, Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 10 a.m. followed by interment in the Raymondville Memorial Cemetery, Raymondville.

Honored to serve as pallbearers were Eddie Puente, Sr., Edward Bland Puente, II, Joseph Andrew Puente, Marcus Anthony Puente, Robert Roy Puente and Chase Stacy Lopez.
