RAYMONDVILLE - Ventura R. Rodriguez, Jr., 75, of Raymondville, entered into rest Sunday, July 11, 2010 at his residence.

He was born on January 23, 1935 in Raymondville, son of the late Ventura R. and Nerin (Ruiz) Rodriguez, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Luisa Rodriguez of Raymondville; three sons, David Berumen of Hereford, TX, Ventura R. Rodriguez, III and Juan Rodriugez of Lyford; 11 daughters, Celia Marroquin, Guadalupe Pedraza, Maria Luisa Rodriguez of Raymondville, Rebecca Vaquera and Noemi Rodriguez of Lyford, Felipa Ramirez of San Benito, Mercedes Martinez of Port Lavaca, Alicia Rodriguez of Uvalde, Ninfa Aldape of Brownsville, Janie Juarez of Lubbock, Herlinda Contreras of Hereford; five brothers, Israel Rodriguez, Ben Rodriguez, Isabel Rodriguez of Raymondville, Juan Rodriguez, Louisiana, Frank Rodriguez, Virginia; three sisters, Janie Gonzalez of Beaumont, Mary Rodriguez, and Sofie Aguilar of Raymondville; numerous grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 13 at Duddlesten Funeral Home, Raymondville. Funeral sesrvices will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church, Wednesday, July 14, at 4 p.m. with interment to follow in the Raymondville Memorial Cemetery.
