RICHARD WRIGHT HUNTER

WEST DUNDEE, ILL/ FERRYVILLE, WIS - Richard Wright Hunter, 70, passed away on July 27, 2010, surrounded by family at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Richard was born June 11, 1940, in Detroit, Texas. He spent most of his childhood in Raymondville, where he graduated from high school. He continued his education at the University of Texas and graduated in 1963, with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel B. Hunter and Gladys H. Hunter.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce Hamilton Hunter.T heir 50th wedding anniversary would have been July 30, 2010. His children, Lisa Hunter, Laurel Hunter Stein and Joel Hunter; and grandchildren, Abby, Evan, and Lilly Stein, Erin Smolak, Quentin, Nora and Sean Hunter, will dearly miss their Dad and Papa.

Mr. Hunter was a Mason in the La Belle Lodge in Viroqua, Wisconsin. He and Joyce were residents of Ferryville, Wisconsin, where they built their dream cabin in the woods.

Richard was a Chemical Engineer for 35 years with Pittsburgh Plate Glass, and after retiring, enjoyed fishing and growing wine grapes. He always had a handshake, smile and conversation for everyone he met.

He was laid to rest on July 30th, in West Dundee, Illinois with the assistance of Miller Funeral Home. Donations may be directed to the Masons or the American Heart Association.
