Roderick David (Dave) MacAllister, age 70, died July 31, 2010 in Escondido, CA. He was born on October 13, 1939, in Rensselaer, IN, to Roderick Malcom MacAllister and Bethal Irene (Gilman) MacAllister. He was preceeded in death by his parents and brother, Patrick MacAllister. Survivors include his wife, Sissy MacAllister of Escondido, CA, daughter, Lisa Marie MacAllister of Arvada, CO, sister, Edith M. Sauter and husband Ralph of New Braunfels, TX and their children, Scott and Cole, aunt Majorie MacAllister of Seguin, TX, and aunt Ruth MacAllister of Lane, OK. He is also survived by numerous cousins (MacAllister, Stallings, and Loftons).

Dave was a proud graduate of Lyford High School (1957) and recently attended his 50th High School reunion. Dave also earned a B.A. degree from Texas A&M University (1961) and a M.A. degree from University of Virginia. Dave served in the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets.

After graduation from Texas A&M, Dave was commissioned into the United States Air Force (USAF). Dave served in the USAF for 20 years and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Dave’s service in the USAF took him worldwide (Japan, Thailand, Germany, and various stateside bases).

Dave will be honored in a private memorial in Escondido, CA in the Fall 2010. In addition, Dave will be honored at the Aggie Muster, April 21, 2011.
