Andres D. Tamez, 88, of Monte Alto, TX, entered into rest Thursday, August 19, 2010 in Edinburg Regional Medical Center.

He was born on June 27, 1922 in Santa Margarita, TX, son of the late Fidel M. and Felicita (De La Rosa) Tamez.

Mr. Tamez is preceded in death by four sisters, Herminia Silva, Elisa Garza, Delia Fonseca and Maria Perez; three brothers, Enrique Tamez, Fidel Tamez, Jr., and Raul Alvarado, one son, Ricardo Tamez.

He is survived by his wife, Clotilde Tamez of Monte Alto; four sons, Robert (Casilda) Tamez, Carlos (Diana) Tamez, Juan Mike (Juana) Tamez, all of Monte Alto, and Andres A. (Dora) Tamez of Weslaco; two daughters, Diana (Joe) Alvarez and Sofia (Jessie) Esquierdo, both of Elsa; five brothers, Ernesto (Rosa) Tamez, Nieves (Tina) Tamez, Daniel (Olga) Tamez, Samuel (Eloisa) Tamez, Ramiro (Alicia) Tamez; two sisters, Clara (Willie) Flores and Cleo Tamez, both of Lasara.
